Job description:        

Under the supervision of the President and CEO, the Vice-President, Performance Services, contributes to the Institut national du sport Québec’s (INS Québec) mission and the implementation of its strategic approaches by ensuring the management of performance services (sport-medicine services, sport science services, athlete services, training and development services) in a strategic, multi-disciplinary, integrated approach.

The Vice-President, Performance Services, will plan, organize, lead, and evaluate the delivery of INS Québec performance services, through the Performance Services management team, targeting the optimization of athletes and training groups’ performance. He collaborates with all key stakeholders of the Quebec and Canadian sport systems in order to contribute optimally to the performance objectives established in various projects and programs. He contributes to the INS Québec business development activities and to the completion of various activities related to INS Québec’s mission and promotion. By his role within the management team, the Vice-President Performance Services ensures the organization and implementation of the strategic planning process and the financial management procedures. He fulfills these tasks, responsibilities, and mandate in the context of strategic directions, policies, values, and mission of the Institute.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in science or sport medicine and Master’s Degree in administration, science and/or sport medicine. PhD in administration, science and/or sport medicine is an asset. Minimum of ten (10) years experience as Senior Manager or Director including five (5) years in high performance sport. Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered. Bilingualism (English and French) is essential.


Duration : Permanent position

Workplace: Montréal (Olympic Park)

Effective date: April 2019

Salary: The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefit package, depending on training and competencies.
