Sylvain Proulx joins the INS Québec Board of Directors
SYLVAIN PROULX JOINS THE INS QUÉBEC BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Institut national du sport du Québec is proud to announce that Sylvain Proulx is now a new member of its Board of Directors. With a wealth of experience in athletics and management, Mr. Proulx will occupy the position of retired coach, with a renewable term ending in June 2025.
Mr. Proulx has been a certified coach with the Rouge et Or de l’Université Laval between 1985 and 1995, including five years as head coach. Over the course of his career, he has coached numerous athletes at provincial, national and international levels, including appearances at the Jeux de la Francophonie in Casablanca in 1989, and the Commonwealth Games in 1994. Several of his athletes still rank among Quebec’s top ten all-time performances in the javelin throw.
In addition to his coaching role, Sylvain Proulx has over 20 years’ experience as a director of sports NPOs, including a decade as Chairman of the Board of the Fédération québécoise d’athlétisme, from 2012 to 2022. He is also a specialist in organizational development and human resources, drawing on his professional experience at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
