INS Québec upgrades its role as an essential perfomance partner by recruiting three new members to its team

Montreal, October 10, 2017 –The vice-president, Performance services of the Institut national du sport du Québec (INS Québec), Marc Schryburt, is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to its team, two of which will be in newly created positions. These appointments, including the arrival of the new athlete services advisor, enable the INS Québec to continue its mission of being a “Catalyst of dreams—one athlete at a time” and help position the organization as a key performance partner for high-level sports in Quebec and Canada.

“These appointments are part of the ongoing roll-out of our new strategic plan in which we put forth the collaboration of all the Institute’s partners in order to contribute to the pursuit of athletes’ dreams,” explains Marc Schryburt. We are particularly pleased with the creation of these two new positions in keeping with our desire to be a key performance partner and to welcome the new athlete services advisor at the same time.“

 

David Forget – Manager of the sports-medicine Clinic

David Forget joined the team as Manager of the sports medicine Clinic on September 18. His mandate includes enhancing the Clinic’s processes to ensure an even more efficient delivery of our services. He has extensive experience in the interdisciplinary field, being a health professional and a seasoned manager in the field of sports medicine. David will also be involved in the development of the INS Québec Clinic.

 

Louise Katherine Kairns – Advisor, Programs and events

Louise Katherine Kairns joined the team on October 2 as Advisor, Programs and events. She will take part in the deployment of new regional programs to support the development of next-generation athletes. Technical director of Plongeon Québec from 2005 to 2009, Louise has greatly contributed to the development of sports in the regions of Quebec by setting up numerous development programs. The diversity of her experience in sports is notable, being involved in various ways, including coaching and event management. This position was created in the wake of the new sports and physical activity policy “Quebecers on the Move! “ of the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur.

 

Lu Bonnet – Athlete services advisor

Lu Bonnet has been working as Athlete services advisor since September 18. His main mandate is to guide athletes to the appropriate resources in order to meet their needs in sports medicine or personal development services. He has considerable knowledge and experience in high performance sports. Prior to joining the INS Québec, he was a marketing consultant for the athletes of the Canadian Olympic Committee. He has also been involved in the development of athletes through the coordination of the Canadian Fencing Federation’s High Performance Program and by coaching university athletes in badminton.
