RBC Training Ground -Outaouais qualifying event

The very first regional qualifying event was has been held in Gatineau on March 24th, 2018. For the occasion, 54 young athletes from Outaouais and Ottawa regions participated and challenged tested their limits.

Coming with different sports background, the athletes showcase measured their capacities with four exercises to that test their power, speed, strength and endurance. The goal is to uncover athletes with podium Olympic potential and provide them with the high-performance sport resources they need to achieve their podium dreams.

The best female athlete and the best male athlete will take part in the regional great finale event, which will be held in Montreal on July 14. For the occasion, 14 national sports organizations will be in search of talented young athletes with the potential to bring home an Olympic medal.

The best performances of the day were accomplish by:

Laure Jaele Larivière, hockey player, 23 years old from Messines, Québec.

Yanik Mousseau, athletics, 17 years old from Gatineau, Québec.
