Roger Archambault Joins INS Québec as Vice-president, Performance Services


His expertise in preparing for major games and his experience in multi-sport environments will allow us to go even further with our service offering.


Montreal, May 13, 2019 – The Institut national du sport du Québec (INS Québec) will soon be able to rely on the expertise and experience of Mr. Roger Archambault, who will join the organization as Vice-President, Performance Services. As a member of senior management, he will be in charge of a team of around fifty specialists in the sports medicine, scientific, performance and training services. He will take office on June 26.

His experience in multi-sports environments as well as his expanded network in the Quebec and Canadian sports communities will allow us to affirm even more our role as an essential performance partner for high-performance sport.”

At the time of his appointment as INS Québec’s Vice-President, Performance Services, Roger Archambault expressed, “I am very pleased to join the INS Québec team and I am excited to start a new challenge that will allow me to bring together all my experiences and expertise in a single role.” He continued, “I am impressed by the quality and depth of the Institut’s teams. They are people of great talent whose skills, expertise commitment and passion are very impressive. Together, I am convinced that we will be able to further push the Institut’s service offering to meet the concrete needs of our athletes, coaches and sports partners even more in order to make a difference in the athletes’ progression and performance.”

Before joining INS Québec, Roger Archambault was Assistant Director, High Performance with the University of Ottawa’s athletic teams and sports clubs. Previously, he worked for the Canadian Olympic Committee as Manager, Olympic Team Services. He has also held various executive positions related to high performance and administration with national sports federations, including 18 years as coach of the national biathlon team. He also served as Director of the City of Gatineau’s Recreation, Sports and Community Development Department.
