20th Gala Femmes d’influence en sport: Evelyne Telmosse receives the first INS Québec
grant for the next generation of women in sports science

The Institut national du sport du Québec (INS Québec) is proud to award the very first INS Québec grant for the next generation of women in sports science to Evelyne Telmosse, a passionate and committed nutritionist from its team. Presented at the 20th Gala Femmes d’influence en sport, this new award, created in collaboration with Égale Action, aims to recognize the exceptional contributions of young professionals who are advancing sports science and sports medicine while inspiring the next generation of women in this field.

A graduate in nutrition with a master’s degree in physical activity sciences from the University of Montreal, Evelyne Telmosse has been making her mark in high-performance sports for several years. At INS Québec since 2021, she works with national teams such as Trampoline Canada, Gymnastics Canada, and Para Swimming Canada, in addition to having worked for three years with artists from Cirque du Soleil. She has also been working with Team Québec athletes at the Canada Games since 2022, where she oversees their nutritional preparation on the field.

In 2023 and 2024, Evelyne reached a new milestone when she was named Chief Performance Nutritionist for the Canadian Olympic Committee, first at the Pan American Games in Santiago, then at the Olympic Games in Paris. She plays a key role in supporting athletes, while actively sharing her knowledge of sports nutrition, particularly on social media. Her work with the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Sport Institute Network also demonstrates her commitment to advancing health and sport performance practices here and abroad.

“Evelyne’s career illustrates the quality and scope of the next generation of scientists in sport in Québec. Her commitment, leadership, and positive influence make her a remarkable ambassador for our mission. It is essential to recognize and support more women in these sectors to ensure the sustainable and equity-based development of sports sciences.”
François Bieuzen, Director of Sports Sciences, INS Québec.

“Congratulations to Ms. Evelyne Telmosse, whose commitment to various national and multidisciplinary teams and active involvement in sharing knowledge about sports nutrition are a source of inspiration for the entire community. We are proud to support the next generation of women in sports science and sports medicine. This partnership marks a promising
step for the future.”
Kim Lalanne, Executive Director, Égale Action.

Conscious of the importance of supporting women in their professional careers in science and sport, INS Québec wanted to create this bursary in collaboration with Égale Action, with the aim of promoting a more inclusive and representative system. However, the implementation schedule did not allow the scholarship to be opened to the entire community for this first award.

Wishing to highlight the importance of supporting the next generation of women in sports science, INS Québec has agreed with Égale Action to recognize a professional from its team whose background meets the criteria defined for future editions. This exceptional initiative is part of a shared desire to kick off this new program. Starting in 2026, the scholarship will be open to all young women working in the field across Quebec.
