MALIK IDRISSI JOINS INS QUÉBEC
AS DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING

The Institut national du sport du Québec announces the arrival of Malik Idrissi as Director of Development and Marketing, effective November 17. His arrival confirms the shift of the communications and marketing department toward objectives focused primarily on business development. Malik’s main mandate will be to design and implement strategies to promote the organization’s independent revenue growth, oversee the promotion of products and activities, and supervise the organization’s communications.
“Malik stands out for his skills as a marketing strategist and communicator and for his achievements in business development, backed by a career path that has taken him from athlete to director at a major creative marketing and communications agency. His ability to build promising partnerships and transform expertise into value aligns directly with INS Québec’s ambition: to increase our visibility, generate new business opportunities, and amplify the impact of our services for the entire Québec sports system and, ultimately, all athletes,” said Marc Desjardins, President and CEO of INS Québec.
“Sport has always played a very important role in my life, both because of the values it conveys and the spirit of excellence it inspires. It is therefore with enthusiasm and immense pride that I join the INS Québec team, an organization that places human performance at the heart of athletic performance. As head of development and marketing, I approach this wonderful and exciting challenge with the desire to put my passion, experience, and energy to work in the service of a mission that is deeply important to me: to provide concrete support for our athletes’ dreams and promote Québec excellence, both here and elsewhere,” said Malik Idrissi, the new Director of Development and Marketing.
Malik has been actively contributing to the growth and promotion of marketing and sponsorship in the world of sports and entertainment for several years. He has many years of experience in strategic development, marketing, and partnerships, having held management positions at Cossette and corporate partnership management at CF Montréal.
A former Rouge & Or soccer player, Malik holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Laval University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal. He has also managed the commercial careers of numerous Canadian athletes as a sports agent and division lead during two Olympic cycles (Rio 2016 & Pyeongchang 2018), including Justine, Chloé, and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe, as well as Max Parrot.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Malik is a lecturer in sports marketing for master’s degree students and serves as an instructor and keynote speaker.
