MARTIN ROY APPOINTED PATHWAY TO EXCELLENCE ADVISOR TO INS QUÉBEC PERFORMANCE SERVICES

Montréal, August 3, 2020 – Mr. Roger Archambault, Vice-President, Performance Services of Institut national du sport du Québec (INS Québec), is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Roy as Pathway to Excellence Advisor.

“The appointment of Martin Roy in this position results from a review of our structure and our program deployment and management” said Roger Archambault, Vice-President, Performance Services at INS Québec. Martin brings us a wealth of experience in program management and delivery that is in accordance with how we envision the pathway to excellence. His knowledge of the federated sports environment and the Québec sports system will allow us to optimize our links with the members of our network and in particular with the Regional Multisport Training Centers (RMTC), the Unisport Training Centers (UTC) and the Québec sports federations. “

“This new challenge within INS Québec will allow me to contribute to the development of high-performance sport by working closely with provincial strategic partners and by promoting access to specialized and quality medical-scientific services, particularly for next generation athletes,” says Martin Roy.

With a background in community recreation and leadership, administration and human resources, Martin Roy brings to INS Québec a solid experience in the management and coordination of programs acquired in the education sector and in the Québec sports system. In addition, he has completed several courses from the National Coaching Certification Program which he has used as a coach at various levels in football, flag football and touch football over the past 30 years.

In this newly created position, Martin Roy will be responsible for the management and deployment of provincial support programs for CREMs and CEUs. Working in close collaboration with INS Québec other departments as well as with many provincial stakeholders, he will ensure the quality of the services offered to partners.
